About Me
Hello, I’m Nanii, I am a midwifery student with a deep passion for women’s health, nutrition, and the cycles that accompany us throughout life. But beyond my studies, I am a woman who has learned that the body holds memory and wisdom, and that healing often begins when we give ourselves permission to listen to it.
I created The Calling to Maternity because I believe every woman deserves a space where she can feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. A space where she can return to herself. A space where she can remember the call of her womb, reconnect with her inner landscape, and walk through life with greater authenticity.
My desire is to support women as they remember how to nourish themselves, mother themselves, and create a life aligned with their values, dreams, and essence.
And I do this from a deeply human place, not as someone who has already reached the destination, but as a woman who is also still walking her path, learning, honoring her cycles, and embracing her own reality.
Because I believe that when we return to our roots, we find the strength to grow, blossom, and create from a place of authenticity.
It All Began Long Before
Looking at this photo reminds me of how deeply I wished for a little brother when I was a child. It also brings me back to something I have come to understand over the years: the roots of who we are often begin forming long before we have the language to describe them.
I believe that within our childhood are clues to our purpose, small interests, natural inclinations, and quiet ways of loving that reveal something about who we are becoming.
When I look at this image, I see one of those clues. I see a desire to care, to nurture, and to be present for others. What was once a gentle instinct slowly grew into something deeper, shaping the path I walk today.
The older I get, the more I believe that much of life is about returning to ourselves, remembering what has always been there and tending to it with intention.
Because a tree does not become a tree overnight. It first grows roots strong enough to support what it is meant to become and flourish.
And perhaps life is the same.
My Training and Experience
I am currently a midwifery student on the path to obtaining my Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential. Since 2023, I have had the opportunity to learn from and work alongside midwives in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, and Peru, enriching my understanding of women’s care and support through diverse traditions and cultural contexts.
In addition, I continue my education in hormonal nutrition and natural gynecology, with the goal of offering a holistic approach to women's health.
My approach seeks to build bridges between ancestral wisdom and modern medicine, honoring both the knowledge passed down through generations and current scientific evidence in order to support women in a respectful, conscious, and authentic way.

I believe that health and healing begin when we learn to listen to the body rather than fight against it. My approach honors the cycles, the different seasons of life, and each woman’s unique rhythm. I do not believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions; I believe in nourishing the root, trusting that growth and flourishing occur naturally when the right care, time, and space are present.

I believe that health and healing begin when we learn to listen to the body rather than fight against it. The values that guide my work are rooted in honoring each woman’s unique journey and creating a space where she feels supported, empowered, and deeply seen.

Because I believe that maternity begins long before pregnancy. It is a call to nurture, create, care for, and reconnect with ourselves. Every woman experiences that call in her own unique way, and my desire is to support her as she discovers what it means for her.
